About Us!

George Mordaunt was born in November 1967 in Clonmel, Co.Tipperary where he continues to reside. He is married to Anne since 1993 and they have two children, Emily and George.

George’s career began in 1986 in the family business, a motor dealership which continues to trade today in the heart of Clonmel as The Mordaunt Group. George has other business interests in Clonmel in the areas of fashion and health and beauty. With a passion for business and a keen eye for marketing George very quickly developed the ‘Mordaunt’ brand.

In 2011 George published his first book entitled ‘Shepherds Pie’ detailing with extreme honesty his story of not just being involved in the politics of a family business but being responsible for its rapid expansion and eventual near collapse. His second book is called ‘Back in the Driving Seat’ which is a story that continues on from Shepherds Pie while setting out detailed steps on how to deal with business recovery and bank debt.
In 2012 as a result of the reaction to Shepherds Pie George felt compelled to react and did so by creating Insight which is a one to one advisory service in dealing with debt situations and business recovery. This service is free as George feels the need to help people affect change in their own lives.
